The Greater Topeka Partnership in Topeka, Kansas seeks an outgoing leader with experience in lobbying at the local, state, and federal level to serve as the President of the Topeka Chamber & SVP of Government Affairs. The President of the Topeka Chamber & SVP of Government Affairs will be an integral part of our leadership team.
Minimum salary of $110,000 (negotiable based on experience), excellent benefits package and flexible work schedule.
Major duties include:
- Join the team that is moving Topeka forward and creating Momentum!
- Lead advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels, advancing policies that drive business and community growth.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Chamber Board, elected officials, and the Chamber’s PAC while overseeing governance and supporting strategic leadership across the organization.
- Cultivate strong relationships with policymakers and community stakeholders to champion the Chamber’s priorities and legislative success.
- A strong candidate will possess:
- At least five (5) years’ experience in law, government relations and/or lobbying.
- Good working knowledge of basic business and economic principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking experience.
- A background in non-profit board service or governance.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive professional relationships.
