The International Economic Development Council awarded 41 new Certified Economic Developers (CEcDs) this week.

Alaska

The Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority signed contracts with seven law firms to address legal issues more efficiently and independently from the executive branch.

Ian Mills of University of Alaska Center for Economic Development has earned their CEcD.

Richelle Johnson of University of Alaska Center for Economic Development has earned their CEcD.

Arkansas

The Delta Center for Economic Development at Arkansas State University will host a "Leadership in Banking" series to explore contemporary banking issues and leadership skills through monthly sessions led by experts.

California

Katie Yancey, after spending more than five years as community investment manager in West Sacramento, has taken on the role of economic development director for the city of Davis.

Lance Lippincott, Fresno's economic development director since 2022, has taken a new position as city manager of Shafter in Kern County.

Connecticut

Yvonne Zhao of City of Hartford has earned their CEcD.
