Interesting how Canada tops the list of countries workers want to relocate to, but no Canadian city is on the cities list! Good news for #rural #smalltown communities? @MDBInsight #remoteworking #Immigration #econdev https://t.co/oBy3P5hCQi

Our reponse: Two things, (1) I wonder if "moving to Canada" is just aspirational, and (2) this seems to follow the pandemic-induced decline in popularity of large cities in general.
More thinking on #nomask #Texas: Yes, it is bad #health policy but awful economic development policy. This and the #WinterStorm are #brand damaging. #econdev

Spot on: The economy won't get back to normal until the pandemic is over, so anything that delays that is bad for business. People who feel unsafe don't spend money, whether personally or professionally.
In the pandemic, people left S.F. in numbers great enough to lower rents. (Yay!) But to … where? Not TX, as some believe, but to other Bay Area counties and elsewhere in CA. A look at Postal Service forwarding requests tells the story. https://t.co/wOthWGXnGU #econdev

Interesting: I wonder if this is part of the California's superiority complex, or if it is just a sign that most of the COVID-induced relocations will come after the pandemic is over.
