Unemployment Below 10%
February 2021 marked the first time since March 2020 when all 50 states had unemployment rates below 10.0 percent.

27 states had unemployment rates lower than the U.S. figure of 6.2 percent, 12 states and the District of Columbia had higher rates, and 11 states had rates that were not appreciably different from that of the nation. US BLS
Unemployment rates were highest in Hawaii (9.2 percent) and New York (8.9 percent) in February 2021. South Dakota (2.9 percent) and Utah (3.0 percent) had the lowest rates. This marked the first time since March 2020 when all 50 states and the District of Columbia had unemployment rates under 10.0 percent.
